Class Details Schedule:

  • One Saturday per month, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

​

Fall 2025 Dates:

  • August 23, 2025

  • September 27, 2025

  • October 25, 2025

  • November 22, 2025

Cost

Honey Bee Academy Tuition: purchase online

  • $450.00 (Includes classes, textbook, and lunch)

​

Cancellation Policy:

    • Full Refund: For cancellations made at least 2 weeks prior to the start date.

      • Spring 2025: Must be cancelled by 5:00 pm, March 8, 2025

    • Credit Only: For cancellations made at least 1 week prior to the start time. Credit can be applied to future classes, products or experiences.

      • Spring 2025: Must be cancelled by 5:00 pm, March 15, 2025

    • No Refund or Credit: For cancellations made within less than a week prior or for no-shows.

Protective Gear Packages (Optional):

  • $250.00 Full Suit Package: Full ventilated suit, ventilated gloves, hive tools, bee brush, and smoker with guard.

  • $200.00 Jacket Package: Ventilated jacket, ventilated gloves, hive tools, bee brush, and smoker with guard.​​

Important Note:
All students must bring protective gear to each class. This includes a jacket, suit or veil, gloves, smoker, and hive tool. Students who purchase a protective equipment package will receive their gear on the first day of class.

  • Swarms, Splits, and Overwintering: Learn strategies for colony growth and survival.

  • Pest Management: Identify and address common hive threats.

  • Honey & Beeswax: Discover the process of harvesting and using honey and beeswax.

Hands-On Apiary Instruction:

  • Conduct live hive inspections

  • Practice bee installation and queen spotting

  • Identify pests and parasites

  • Engage in swarm and hive extraction (if available)
